Work Zone Removal and Implementation on Wilshire Blvd.

As part of the Federal government’s Coronavirus Guidance for America, transportation infrastructure is considered an “Essential Critical Infrastructure.” Additionally, transit capital projects are not subject to the State of California’s Stay at Home order, therefore Metro construction projects continue to progress.

Summary

Beginning Thursday, September 3 at 7pm, and continuing through Friday, September 4 at 4pm, Wilshire Blvd. between Carson Rd. and La Jolla Ave. and San Vicente Blvd. from Gale Dr. to McCarthy Vista will be intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction.

Work within the City of Beverly Hills will begin at 8pm on September 3. This configuration will support the removal of a work zone on Wilshire Blvd. between Gale Dr. and Tower Dr., and the implementation of a work zone at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd. and San Vicente Blvd.

WHERE

  • Wilshire Blvd. between Carson Rd. and La Jolla Ave.
  • San Vicente Blvd. between Gale Dr. and McCarthy Vista

TRAFFIC CONTROL

  • Eastbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to a single lane between Carson Rd. and La Jolla Ave.
  • Westbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to a single lane between La Jolla Ave. and La Cienega Blvd.
  • Northbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to a single lane between McCarthy Vista and 6th St.
  • Southbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to a single lane between Gale Dr. and Wilshire Blvd.
  • Left turn movements will be intermittently restricted at Hamilton Dr., Gale Dr. and Tower Dr., and San Vicente Blvd.

The 720 bus stop at Wilshire Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd. has been temporarily relocated to Willaman Dr. Our construction may have relocated your bus stop, or changed your route. For information changes to Metro service, please call 323.GoMetro or visit: https://www.metro.net/service/advisories/

Noteworthy

  • Construction within project staging yards is 24-hours/day. 
  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone.
