Metro to Hold Two Virtual Public Hearings for the Antelope Valley Line Capacity and Service Improvements Program in August 2021

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) today released the draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Antelope Valley Line Capacity and Service Improvements Program to evaluate potential benefits and impacts of building infrastructure to support increased rail service between Los Angeles and the Antelope Valley.

Metro to connect A (Blue) and E (Expo) lines to future Regional Connector requiring temporary rail service suspensions between 7th St./Metro Center and Pico stations during weekends beginning on July 30, 2021

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (Metro) contractor, Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will temporarily suspend rail service between 7th St./Metro Center and Pico Stations to connect the A Line (Blue) and E Line (Expo) to the Regional Connector for 10 weekends beginning on July 30, 2021.

C Line (Green) to suspend rail service between Lakewood and Vermont/Athens stations during weekend of July 23 to 25, 2021

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will temporarily suspend rail service on the C Line (Green) during the weekend of July 23 through 25, to upgrade signal systems between Lakewood and Vermont/Athens.
