Metro’s NextGen Bus Plan is designed to create a fast, frequent and reliable Metro bus network for L.A. County. An updated draft of the NextGen Bus Plan is available at www.metro.net/nextgen. Metro welcomes public comment on the draft plan. After public hearings are held, the Metro Board of Directors will consider the NextGen Bus Plan. Approved changes to bus routes will begin to be implemented after Dec. 2020.
The virtual public hearing meetings will be held for the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Gateway Cities, South Bay and the Westside/Central Service Council areas as well as a general all regions public hearing. The public is encouraged to participate in any of the following Public Hearings to share their thoughts on the NextGen Bus Plan to improve the Metro bus system.
Members of the public can call 877.422.8614 and enter the corresponding extension to listen to the proceedings or to submit comments by phone in their preferred language (from the time each hearing starts until it concludes). Audio and comment lines with live translations in Mandarin, Spanish and Russian will be available. Callers to the comment line will be able to listen to the proceedings while they wait for their turn to submit comments via phone. Audio lines are available to listen to the hearings without being called on to provide live public comment via phone.
Submit your comments online via the Public Hearing Agendas. Agendas will be posted at metro.net/about/board/agenda at least 72 hours in advance of each hearing. Public comments will be read during the hearing and comment links will remain open throughout the hearing.
Hearings will begin at the listed times and conclude when all public comments received via the online agendas have been read into the public record and all callers to the dial-in comment lines have been given the opportunity to make comments via phone.
